Contemporary African Voices presents Rešoketšwe Manenzhe
January 27 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pmFree
Contemporary African Voices is a free online event presented by the Stephen Lewis Foundation (SLF) Grandmothers to Grandmothers Groups in Vancouver. SLF Grandmothers Groups support community-based organizations in sub-Saharan Africa that turn the tide of HIV and AIDS.
Rešoketšwe Manenzhe is a South African award-winning novelist, poet, and short-story writer. Her novel, Scatterlings, is a tale – set over a hundred years ago – chronicling journeys of lost love, betrayal and abandonment, and resiliency. Rešoketšwe’s debut novel is available from Amazon in both paper and Kindle format and Book Depository in the UK.
Garvia Bailey, a Toronto based, Jamaica-born journalist, producer, broadcaster, and former CBC host who finds inspiration in empowering stories, will engage Rešoketšwe in compelling conversation during this LIVE on Zoom event.
